• Can anyone fit PVC interlocking floor tiles?

  Yes, any individual with reasonable manual skills will find the fitting of our interlocking PVC floor tiles extremely simple. Our trademark interlocking key system makes the fitting of subsequent floor tile foolproof, while the absence of any required materials such as bonding agents and adhesives, (with the exception of areas subject to excessive point loading and continous direct sunlight) means minimal preparation time. Unicorn Mouldings advises customers to plan all cuts ahead of fitting. For more information on Installation see our Installation Guide section.

• Do you create PVC flooring products which are suitable for the homeplace?

  Yes, Unicorn Mouldings produce a Homestyle range of PVC interlocking floor tile which are typified by a more refined, stone-like texture. As with our industrial flooring range, Homestyle products are easy to lay, durable and simple to maintain.

• Do you have any other colours available?

  Depending on the size of your order, yes.  The colours presented on our website indicate the standard shades available in our flexible and rigid interlocking floor tiles.  However colours can be created to match the requirements of customers ordering 300m2 or more of our Flexi-Tile products.  Contact a member of our sales team today to discuss any specific colour requirements which you may have.

• How do I maintain PVC flooring after installation?

  Our PVC interlocking floor tile requires minimal maintenance and upkeep.  We have a new Flexi-Tile Floor cleaning product which can be used with a damp mop or in a floor cleaning machine.  This is excellent for the maintenance of Flexi-Tile & is definately recommended by us for cleaning Flexi-Tiles

• How long will my floor tiles last?

  With both our industrial interlocking floor tile, and our commercial interlocking floor tile, there is a 25 year wear warranty.  (A warranty which is a lot longer than Rubber Tile products)

• I am not based in Northern Ireland, does Unicorn Mouldings have any experience with the shipping of their industrial flooring products worldwide?

  Absolutely! With over 15 years experience, we have successfully shipped our Flexitile range of interlocking PVC floor tile to clients all over the globe, for a range of applications, both commercial/domestic and industrial.  Contact us if you have an enquiry & we can deal with it no problem, whether it is through us or one of our distributors we will always be able to help!

• Is using PVC floor tiles environmentally friendly?

  Yes. Unicorn Mouldings is genuinely committed to the preservation of resources on the conservation of our environment.  All of our Flexi-Tiles are 100% recyclable!

• What exactly is meant by industrial flooring?

  Industrial flooring is an umbrella term which describes a number of products suitable for use as flooring in demanding and busy workplaces, (such as warehouses and shop floors). Specifically Unicorn Mouldings manufacture a range of rigid and flexible PVC floor tiles (often referred to on this site as Flexi-Tile) for industrial as well as commercial and domestic markets.

• What is an interlocking floor tile?

  An interlocking floor tile is, as the name might suggest, an individual floor tile constructed from PVC. A series of "I section teeth" or "keys" line the perimeter of each P.V.C floor tile, in such a way that makes the "knitting" or attachment of subsequent floor tiles simple, steadfast, secure and quick. The result is a modular flooring solution which is subtly joined, attractive and hard-wearing.

• What tools/accessories do I need when fitting Flexi-Tile Interlocking floor tiles?

  For Installating Flexi-Tiles all you require is a rubber mallet, sharp knife - fitted with a heavy duty blade, a straight edge, a cutting board & tape measure and a pencil or chalk.
